DD and S has created a new product that will revolutionize the ease of transporting contaminated victims without exposure to safely to emergency sites. “Life Carrier Bags” are designed to provide limited, yet immediate protection against certain chemical/biological containments.
The Life Carrier Bag is a lightweight single layer Ultra Heavy Duty PEVA Chlorine-Free vinyl film designed for puncture resistance and high tear strength. All seams are electronically heat sealed for strength and protection against possible leakage and to comply with OSHA Regulation 3130 involving containment of body fluids. Reinforced envelope zipper style using #1`0 rust resistant nylon zipper pulls allowing to open the bag from either end. Four access zippers (two arms & two chest) allow personnel to easily administer an IV, defibrillator, etc. Ten strap handles installed underneath with an opening to allow for a rigid backboard to be inserted for optimal carriage. The carrier also comes with an aluminum alloy foldable stretcher. When used together, the weight capacity is 4,000lbs., and can be easily folded and stored into most emergency kits for transportation.

In the 1990s, DD and S built on it “Cut and Sew” expertise, and developed serviced to target the government sector. In 1992, DD and S designed and manufactured seat covers & cushions, machine gun covers, and airplane covers for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Body bags have been a proven comodity for DD and S with over 15,000 bags produced and sold to the City of Chicago between 1998 and 2006. During this process, we have made modifications to improve their existing body bad design, and produced a product that has surpassed our competitors.
